My experience in engineering:
My experience in engineering is limited in the "official" terms, but I have a lot of experience doing random things such as building tiny sheds, making self driving ebikes, and custom built things that help me do even more stupid things :) I also know a bit of programming and 3D modeling and design. I do also do 3D printing, video game design, digital artwork, and enjoy things such as aerospace and automobile related things.
Favorite things in engineering classes:
My favorite things in engineering classes are the tools they offer and a break from the stupidly slow Chrome-Books (the glorified web browsers) offered at this school. While the computers here aren't as good as the gaming and work computers I am used to using, they are way faster and more easy to use than the provided plastic devices. I also like the tools offered for making things, even though it is super annoying with the emphasis on things like "safety" (I don't want to do a full page essay to be able to use a pair of scissors and I pretty much super used to these tools already). These are great things found in the classroom. All in all, I understand the protocols in place, and love having a great place here at school to do cool things :)
Why I chose the engineering class:
I chose the engineering class because it is pretty much the only good connections offered at this school. I also like the college credit part. It is a great class, with a great teacher.
What I hope to learn this year:
I am interested in learning more advanced techniques and skills as current engineering work we are learning here is not of my interest (such as learning about engineering related jobs or similar like ctsos) or too easy (like autocad). I hope to learn (more like become better) at things like metalworking and woodworking.
Engineering fields I am interested in:
As someone that doesn't like the idea of being stuck in a corporate workplace for my whole life helping rich people get richer, engineering is perfect for me. Its creative, and has a good amount of things you can do without getting a proper job. It is the perfect education path to take to ensure I can get a decent paying job when needed, and have skills to build businesses, freelance, and have time for personal activities and other random forms of income. One day I would like to [maybe] start a business focused on the automotive and aerospace industury maybe even making flying cars. (once that tech becomes more readily available)
